clay is happening

Ceramic artist Beth Shook will present work in several group exhibits, this April 8-11th.  The shows will be held in conjunction with the National Conference on the Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA).   This year the conference is hosted by ASU, and includes programming and exhibitions throughout the Phoenix metro area.
Click here for all participating venues (including Phoenix College and the Phoenix Convention Center) and more details.

You can see some of Beth’s work at three locations; in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe.  She photographed this piece, to the right, fresh out of the kiln. This tile, she says, will eventually be framed out with wood and found objects…I have some new finds I think might work to progress this story/image.  The working title for this piece is Toeing the Line.

Look for the completed Toeing the Line tile work, and other ceramic art works at any one of the three locations below.
