Hello Monica: I just learned that my new buddy the digestive tract has more nerves than the spinal cord! They aren’t all in one spot posing for a cross sectional portrait like this, but it makes you scratch your head

What are you looking at/reading?
Not long ago, I painted out cross sections of the intestine. I enjoyed the perspective (study and work).
I can’t really say I focused on the nerves though I don’t lose sight of them.
I have been thinking about isolating the Vagus nerve…no organs, just a beautiful drawing of the one long meandering nerve.
I’m thinking….let’s see what shows up and when…
