Her full name…Muhammed Ali, after the boxer. We called her Ali. She had silver, and gray legs with bright, white paws…white gloves, we decided. She used to bat us in the face with them. We came to the name after one week of living with her.
She was born in Las Cruces, NM.
She was with us 18 plus years.
Her last days were sweet. This picture was taken week before last, in Phoenix, AZ.
I guess she was pretty after all. You must be sad.

What was her real name? Ali Baba? Mohammed Ali? I didn’t realize how cute she was…is this an older picture? Before she started dying her hair?

Ali was a sister to Jane, our cat. She was rescued from my dissolving first marriage; from the country-side around Las Cruces.
you and Eddie eagerly invited her into your lives. Brian and I brought Jane (and her step brother, Toby) to Ohio where she lead a long, contented life, and she moved on 5 years ago. Like Ali, her passing was very, very sad. Their lineage must have had very strong family ties. My heart aches when I see Ali’s picture, as I see she is just like Jane. I shed a tear with you, as I know your heartache – how much she enriched your lives.
