Hey Phoenix! It’s that time of the year again. The summer months bring 515’s annual guest artist invitational.  Each of the nine members invite 5 artists. In this case you’ll have over 45 artworks to see.

Yes, this is the 5th annual FIVE15 TO THE POWER OF 5. That’s a lot of five’s!

Five 15 Arts presents:
Second Annual Five15 to the 5th
June – July 2013

Five15 Arts is a member-run art gallery in the heart of downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row District. For the second year in a row, members exhibit alongside five other artists they invite to participate. The only criteria is the artwork be 12″ x 12″. The results is a diverse salon style exhibition with over sixty works of art. All of it available for purchase. As work sells it can be taken home – artist has option to replaces the sold piece with something new so  the showing  may continue to change throughout its run.

Mary Shindell invited me to take part. Here are a small sampling showing both of Mary’s mixed media pieces (members show 2 works) as well as work in metal, clay, prints, paintings and graphite drawings – I hope you get a sense of the variety … there’s so much more. Join us next Friday. Drop in and see all the other creative groupings.
